It's a pretty common expression in my time. But it's weird, comparing people to cutlery. I prefer to hold someone over being held. But I guess that can also be nice. Depends on the person. I would like for you to feel happy and safe.

That seems like a good arrangement. Definitely someone you can trust. I wonder if it's common.
Eloise is your sister? I do maintenance on her printing presses at The Sharp Tongue. She's one of the first people I met here. What a small world.
I don't ... well, there is nobody here that I knew before coming here. There are a few people I knew of but I have never met them before.

I haven't been here long enough to know if that is common or not but ... honestly, it is something I would much prefer, too. Having someone to trust and at the very least like. I don't think it's selfish to want that for oneself and ... even if it is, it's just human, just natural. I honestly have a hard time wanting anything less or different myself.

Sometimes you meet people who end up meaning everything to you. There doesn't have to be a blood connection, I think.
I am glad to hear your family is close. Eight siblings? That is a lot. Do all of you get along with each other?
And, I can't help but notice that you are named in alphabetical order. That is the first time I have seen something like this. Your parents picked beautiful names for all of you.

My family ... We originally were just colleagues at work if you can believe it but ... a lot has happened in the last five years since we met that has linked us together. There is Jemma, who ... I have known for 13 years at this point. She's a scientist (biochemistry) and my lab partner. She's a genius, really. She's English.
Then there is Daisy. She works with computers and also has powers - she can manipulate vibrations. She like most of the others is American, actually. I'm from Glasgow but have lived in the US since I was 17.
And there is Coulson and May, who ... they are older so they are kind of like our parents. They are good people, people to look up to. And there is Mack and Elena. And others who left like Hunter (he's also English) and Bobbi.

Yes! It is good to know you are working together. Anthony was here for a time, but he left just before I showed up. Another woman from our home is here, too, though I did know how her before coming. She meets my family in the future from where I last knew. Her name is Kate Sharma.

I have met someone who is engaged and planning a wedding, so it is certainly not unheard of. I do think you are right. It is very human to crave such a connection. [ best and worst case scenario in one twisted loop would be to have simon there with her; daphne can't fathom the idea of thinking he'd be with other people than herself, though. ]

Thank you. Mama and Papa did a fine job, I agree. The names suit us each. Eloise and I did not get on so well, to be honest. It is different here. I am closest to Francesa. The boys are all in their own worlds quite often, and Hyacinth is so young but her curiosity is endearing. I think we all get along better than I have observed in other families. We are close and enjoy the company of one another. [ there's a sting of sadness over missing family dinners, at not currently having a house full of bridgertons. ]

Did you travel back to Scotland much at all?
I am afraid I do not quite know what all of those words you have used are, but I would like to learn.
Granted, I am happy to learn the names and details of those you call family.
I am familiar with what a scientist is, but from the years I have lived in. What is biochemistry? And I do not know what a computer is. [ doesn't know that she's holding one in her had, essentially, but also just hasn't heard that word! ]

You seem like a gentle soul, Fitz. I like that about you.
