Name: Leopold James ‘Leo’ Fitz Door: As Fitz was a Dominant before, he will once again be a Dominant. Canon: Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD / MCU Canon Point: S05E05 ‘Rewind’, when the cryogenic pod activates (November 2017) Age: 30 Appearance: 5’8’’, short curly light brown hair, blue eyes, slender build, scruffy short beard History: Here In game last time: Considering the fact that Fitz wasn't in game long last time around, there weren't too many storylines he was involved in. He mainly settled into the game, finding jobs helping Eloise and Ororo before he finally started working at Stark Naked developing new sex toys under Pietro's management. Fitz wasn't pressed for time yet, so he didn't manage to secure a contract and didn't have many prospects in that regard, even though some people were interested in him. CR AU (Optional): N/A Personality: Positive Trait: Fitz is incredibly loyal, which becomes apparent from the very beginning of the series. Having always been different from others because of his high intellect and early achievements ( two PhDs being required to even enter the SHIELD Academy for Science and Technology), Fitz almost immediately latches onto his newly found family consisting of Phil Coulson's team and would do anything for them. This can be seen early on when his new team member Skye, a young hacker, betrays the team and Fitz keeps on insisting that there has to be a logical explanation and that Skye would never go behind their backs, projecting his own unshakable loyalty onto her. Later on, when Skye develops the power to generate earthquakes and the others are afraid of her, Fitz is there for her and tells her that she is just different now but there is nothing wrong with her - once again empathizing with her situation which somewhat mirrors his own: He has been avoided by the others as well and is being treated differently following a traumatic brain injury. Said injury is the result of his loyalty and love for his partner and later wife Jemma Simmons, whom he sacrifices himself for without hesitation when they are trapped in a containment unit at the bottom of the ocean and there is only enough oxygen to get one of them to the surface. When Fitz is the only one who isn't kidnapped and brought to the year 2091 at the end of Season 4, he spends 6 months in a government prison, in solitary confinement, single-mindedly working on theories about what happened to his teammates. After his friend Hunter finally breaks him out, Fitz finds a way to get to the future by entering a cryogenic pod and sleeping for 74 years with no way of knowing what will await him once he gets there. The fact that he doesn't hesitate for a single moment given just the smallest chance to save his friends and his family, shows how loyal and reliable he truly is and how important they are to him. In game last time: Fitz didn't meet too many people he grew close to but there were some he still expressed loyalty towards in small ways. Even if Fitz wasn't terribly interested in designing sex toys for a living, he never the less took the job at Stark Naked when Pietro and Eloise offered it to him, mostly owing to the fact that he got along with both and wanted to put his skill set to good use even if it was in a small way, especially since Eloise had already given him work doing maintenance on the printing presses. Given enough time he will undoubtedly grow closer to a number of people and given the chance to do his best to help them. He'd also be especially interested in using his relative power as a Dominant to be of help to a Submissive in need of a contract - or two should he ever get the necessary funds. An eventual appearance of his secondary personality, the Doctor, would also put any previously established loyal and trusting relationships he may have into question, which would also be very interesting to see. Negative Trait: Fitz' desire to be in control becomes most apparent when a sentient robot, AIDA, which he helped create, builds a whole alternate reality in the shape of a simulation that she transfers everyone's consciousness into. There, inside the Framework, Fitz is running HYDRA together with AIDA as 'The Doctor' instead of being a SHIELD agent and as a result, is able to basically control the world. He ruthlessly performs experiments on Inhumans and easily does away with those who step out of line, torturing people and enjoying himself in the process. Outside the simulation - which admittedly cranks his tendencies up to eleven, but is also meant to represent his subconscious and his potential if circumstances were different - Fitz also likes to control the situation he finds himself in. As a result, he hates magic because he deems it unpredictable and he thinks it violates his scientific understanding of how the universe works. Fitz hates it when things change or even potentially could change, which becomes apparent when other people join the team or seem to leave. After his brain injury, things have undoubtedly changed since people treat him differently and as lesser than he used to be and he is very frustrated by his lack of progress and inability to express himself the way he used to, all of which makes him lash out at others. His wish for control extends to his desire to 'possess' Simmons and be with her, which makes him jealous whenever she shows interest in other men in earlier seasons of the show, such as Ward, Peterson, and Trip. This culminates in him being jealous of another version of himself who died saving the world but only after marrying Jemma. While he realizes how ridiculous it is to be jealous of himself and Jemma points out as much to him, he still is unable to change how he feels about it. In game last time: Up to now, his wish for control has only manifested in a small way: Along with Alex he tried to get on top of the malicious spam emails and texts that plagued the city last year, warning other people of the dangers the messages may pose to everyone. Generally speaking, Fitz feels like he cannot do anything to change life in the city or his own inability to leave. If presented with the opportunity he would very much like to aid in finding a way to undermine the city's dealings or find a way home for everyone who finds themself stuck in this place. Negative Trait: Fitz is shown to be vindictive when people have wronged him or those he cares about. A particular instance of this can be witnessed when Ward, who Fitz had previously considered to be his friend and loved like a brother, is revealed to be a traitor who secretly has been working for HYDRA all along. At first, Fitz refuses to believe that Ward has lied to them all along and insists that their friendship must have been real. But later, after Ward dropped the containment pod into the ocean, almost killing Simmons and leaving Fitz with permanent brain damage, upon coming face to face with the man, Fitz decides to make Ward feel the way he has. He uses the technology that has been installed in Ward's cell to remove most of the oxygen in it to make Ward experience firsthand what it is like to suffocate and be without a sufficient amount of oxygen. This action serves no other purpose than being able to see Ward suffer and have the momentary satisfaction of making him feel the way Fitz himself has. In game last time: Last time his vindictive nature didn't come into play at all. But it shall be interested to see if he might experience what he perceives to be a personal betrayal - either of him or someone he consideres a friend - going forth and how he might react to it depending on what it is. It is very easy to imagine him plotting revenge should someone harm someone he likes a lot and it might be cruel as much as unexpected. Negative Trait: Fitz is shown to be incredibly stubborn, a trait which often is directly linked to his unwavering loyalty. It can thus be considered the flipside of that particular coin. An example of this is when he refuses to give up on Simmons when she is trapped on Maveth, a planet in another solar system, that can only be accessed using a monolith, a portal that only opens at particular times. Fitz travels the world, visibly indifferent to his own well-being and continued survival, looking for a way to save Simmons long after everyone else has given up on her. Through his single-minded focus, he eventually does save her, but only after he displayed suicidal tendencies by screaming at the monolith to either take or kill him too. He is quite capable of becoming obsessive and working tirelessly on projects to his own detriment, uncaring about what happens to him as long as he reaches his goal. Fitz also often is shown to stubbornly stick to his previously conceived opinions, arguing with whoever doesn't share them and trying to convince them that he is right and they are not. In game last time: The way this manifested last time he was around was that he decided to go along with the rules the city had laid down in the hopes of making it back home to help Jemma and the others. It will be interesting to see how this personality trait will be displayed going forward. Powers and Abilities: - Genius Level Intellect - Master Engineer/Scientific Knowledge - Practiced Combatant - Good Marksman - Spy - Languages Inventory: - a night-night gun (aka a non-lethal weapon that uses a neurotoxin to sedate someone) - his pen-knife - a photograph showing him and his team Samples: Here and here. |
